Chong Enterprises was founded by Samuel (Sammy) Chong and Graciela (Gracie) Ybarra Chong.

Mr Chong is a licensed vocational nurse licensed by the State of Texas and with over 20 years of patient care and experience in adult, geriatric care and home health care. Mr. Chong is a business man at heart and he has over 30 years experience in business management.  He began his career at the age of 15 years old working for H.E.B as a bag boy and working his way up to management. Mr. Chong has always believed in helping others and in 1995, after 18 years of service provided to H.E.B. he retired from the retail business and decided to transition into his nursing career.  Mr Chong is a graduate of Gladys Porter High School and obtained his Licensed Vocational Nurse License from The University of Texas at Brownsville. Together with his wife Gracie they began their first step into entrepreneurship in 2004 by opening the doors to Valley Angels Home Health.

Graciela (Gracie) Ybarra Chong is a Family Nurse Practitioner certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and licensed as an advanced practice registered nurse by the State of Texas. Gracie is a Brownsville native that began her nursing career in her hometown over 30 years ago working in women’s care, hospice and home health, with 13 of those years being in home health and hospice administration.  Although Gracie has cared for different populations during her 30+ year career, her true passion continues to be working with the adult and geriatric community.
Gracie obtained her Associate and Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degrees at The University of Texas at Brownsville, her Master’s of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Texas A&M Corpus Christi, and her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Baylor University's Louise Herrington School of Nursing.  She is also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Texas Nurse Practitioners Association, and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Gracie has received training from the National Laser Institute in Dallas, Texas in Botox, advanced  dermal filler injections, and micro threading and advanced injectables training from Allergan Institute, Merz Aesthetics, and Revance Aesthetics.

Mr. and Mrs. Chong are the proud parents of two boys, Samuel Lee Chong, D.O. an emergency medicine physician in Houston, Texas and Brandon Lee Chong, graduate of The University of Texas Health Science Center School of Medicine in San Antonio, Texas and doing his internal medicine residency in El Paso, Texas. They also have a daughter in law, Kara Lynn Chong, a family nurse practitioner in Houston Texas, their future daughter in law, Adriana Salinas, a licensed speech language pathologist and two granddaughters, Claire Adelynn Chong and Kaylin Collins Chong.

Chong Enterprises's mission is to provide personalized, high-quality care on an as-needed or preventative basis.  We have created a diversity of healthcare services that we believe in and choose for our own family members.
